PS2: Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero

I'm surprised I haven't found any references to this great PS2 game. Maybe I haven't looked enough.
This is worth buying, now that it has dropped to the 19.99 range at Best Buy. Not as realistic as Gran Turismo 3, and if you have been playing GTA3 for a while, it's hard to get used to these new controls.
This is one of few games that actually let you modify your cars AND make them look sweet.

Yeah, the only thing I don't like is that the models of cars are never listed by their name, they're named by a code. Its still cool cause it has over 200 cars and 95% are Honda, Nissan, Toyota, etc. I think its only for PS2 right now. You get to challege some pretty decent AI.

I wasn't aware of that. Is there an original version for dreamcast as well? Also, I forgot to mention that there is a dvd extra in the game about the tokyo racing scene. SWEET cars!

Sweet; I'll have to pick it up. I'm 80% of the way through GT3; that game kicks. My GF complains that she can't paint her GT3 cars a different color, though, so maybe she needs to try tokyo extreme.

Thats so weird, I just today unlocked that section with the vipers. I hate those big long straights. I always win with handling. I'm going to need a new engine to beat those vipers - time to put away the social life for a bit.
