nitrous works well with import cars...
most import engines that are forced induction are turbocharged.

i'd say start with a AEM Cold air intake
dc headers (not ceramic)
tanabe medallion or greddy exhaust...
from there its whatever you want. cams, gears, forced induction, whatever...
