right... but your screw goes into a hole in the shifter... the aftermarket ones just screw to the shaft to hold it tight... not into any holes. its kinda like putting a christmas tree in the base the screws just snug up against it not go through it. if the tree was constantly running over pot-holes your tree would vibrate loose and "Timber!" it would come crashing down. very strange metaphor... but hey it works.
