it has basically been told but w/ the short ram you are sucking in more warm air from it crculating under the hood. The Cold air Intake (CAI) will extend you past that and down and out of the engine bay to where all the good cool air is coming in.

for the $ you are alot better off w/ the CAI. You will have a nice sound and a few more HP Gain w/ it.

Good luck w/ the purchase...CAI all the way..........
