What exactly do you want to know? This is where your car inhales air from outside and routes it via the tubing to the TB, then onto the manifold before heading into the combustion chamber and burned off with fuel. CAI's different from any other intake because of where they pick up the air they breathe. Most intakes breathe air from under the hood, which as you know after few mins get's VERY hot. The high the ambient temp of air, the smaller it's oxygen content becomes. Oxygen is the catalyst that burns when mixed with fuel and compressed inside the combustion chamber. So to put it simply, the more the oxygen, the stronger the enery released. So we want the most oxygen we can fit in the engine over a set period of time, and as we know, the colder the ambient tempature of the air, the higher it's oxygen content, therefore the more energy is released upon combustion translating to more power.
