ls tec

Just wondering how many people has had good results with ls vtec and how hard is the wiring

I've never actually ran one, but I've assisted on several LS/CRVTEC aseemblies. Easy stuff. Wiring is just two wires: VTEC solenoid and VTEC oil pressure sensor. Must have a VTEC ECU of course. WE never had any issues with ours. Even the boosted ones.

From what I have heard. Build them well, and properly. And they will last just fine.

Yes, you have to tap the oil passage on the VTEC head. There is a plugged hole on there that you must run an external oil line for. You also have to use the proper size dowel pin for the internal VTEC oil passage. In other words, get the Golden Eagle VTEC conversion kit. It is worth the $$$. It even comes with the headgasket and precisely machined dowel pin. Plus the external oil line, fittings, and oil filter sandwich adapter.........

If you use a GSR Head with an OEM intake manifold, then you will have to wire the secondary butterfly also.
