I used a colored large magnet that will stick to the vent cover. It is easy to install and will even work on vents on the walls.

I've seen that used before. I didn't like the idea of seeing the magnet though. Plus with the patented Cool-lock I was able to seal all the areas on the back of the register.

that was what I wanted to use but my vents aren't flat on the face of them, so a magnet wasn't gonna work for mine.
