this is kind of related and not really. But i used to listen to rap a good ammount, and then i stopped listening for like a year, and i started listening to the shit that's current right now and i'm like
 rap lately is so SOOO shitty. Like really bad. Least in the mid 90's it had some style to it. Now it's just abnoxious and it's really gay if you think about it. And yeah probably contributes to the downfall of society and all that jazz

I miss socially relevent hip hop like Public Enemy and early Ice T (plus, Body Count kicked your ass
 ). I guess now we've got Mos Def...but that's just one guy in a sea of bullshit.
