Fat Fives
Well me and my friend dan (who has a nice GSR) decided to trade wheels for a little while for the hell of it. I love the look of the fat fives on my civic, and the motegi's look decent on his car. Here's some pics, but i don't have any of his car...
They're nice cause they're lighter than the motegi's and still give decent grip. They feel a little softer in the corners but are still very nice. I wanna see if i can talk him into a direct swap since these usually sell for the same price as my motegi's and we both have the exact same tires, both new as well.

yeah me too. I had originally wanted to get Si wheels (to essentially convert my car to an Si). But i haven't seen many EK's with GSR wheels and i think it's classy.

Yea those are the mesh.....I don't like them . The 99-00 SI rims are still the best Honda rims IMO.

i had to swap back
although i must say, the motegi's do handle much better, and now that i have the turbo running nicely, i really don't notice the extra weight.

i know, everyone is telling me to cover it up, but i love showing it off
besides if i shift over 3200 rpm you're going to hear the BOV anyway, plus it's not incredibly hard to see my gauge pod. But i'm sure i can still fuck with some ricers

I wouldn't do it. While paint isn't terribly thick, it can't be good for heat transfer (unless you used something like engine block paint...which would just look shitty). Any quality paint would be thick enough that it could conceivably mess with the IC's cooling abilities.

exactly my thoughts But my car wasn't really designed to be a total sleeper, and i don't care if it isn't. I'll just have to give it enough balls to back itself up eventually
