Sure...the LAPD has made some serious mistakes in the past...but shut your fucking mouths on this one. There's only one reason this girl is dead...and that reason is dead, too.

well said, not to mention, had the cops not opened fire, he could have possibly killed a number of cops, and many of them probably have families, but then people would be like, oh too bad, cop died. Rather than, OMG TEH LAPD KILLED A LITTLE GIRL?!?!
