I think it's a combination of their suckitude and the fact that their core audience (i.e. 15 year olds with shitty taste) will just forget that they ever liked them to begin with. Just look at Few Found Glory and Simple Plan. Don't hear too much from those pussies these days. That's what I hate about all of these bands that have made punk a breakfast cereal. They come along, cheapen the music I happen to love, are wildly popular for about a year...maybe two if they're lucky...and then disappear after the damage is already done.

On the brighter side, the new Alkaline Trio album maybe the best album ever made. Good enough to make you question your faith. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I saw it will own you in ways previously incomprehensible to mortal man.
