Matrices in the Bible- Bible Code revealed

Anyone know anything about the Bible Code and reading it through matrices? I'm watching a show on the History Channel about it and it is really freaking me out; it predicts so many things that have happened perfectly.

If you don't know how it works, you read every 3, 5, or 7 letters in the old testament and form words from the letters. Here are a few examples of codes found;

In my humble opinion, this more or less proves the existance of God, for only God could code the Bible in this way; this also means that he dictated Moses' five books directly to him.

The code has successfully predicted Pearl Harbor, Nixon/Clinton's problems, WTC attacks, says Bin Laden by name, Israel being formed as a nation, Timothy McVeigh, etc. It predicts Bin Laden attacking Israel with a nuclear weapon in 2006, and Russia invading Israel. None of this would surprise me a bit.

I believe the codes in addition to the Mayan Calendar ending in 2012 and the galactical alignment occuring in 2012 all point to signs that we are in the last 7 years of Earth's existance as we know it.

Thought? Well...my main thought is that it's a coincidence. In much the same way you can see something that looks strikingly like the WTC buildings burning on the back of a $20 bill if it's folded properly, if you look hard enough at something you'll probably start to see what you want. And especially in a book as big as the bible...it's only a matter of time before letters and words line up. Besides...why would the prophecies predict things in the U.S. before anyone on that side of the world even knew this land was here? And which version of the bible would you read? The Jerusalem bible? The KJV? The NJV? Then you have to take into account that the bible wasn't written in english and that modern english didn't exist yet...so you're looking at a lot of translation...some of which isn't always right. Somehow I doubt god took our own ineptitude into mind. There's a jewish practice that revolves around this thinking, too (though I can't recall it's name). Since in hebrew characters represent numbers, people have gone through the torah and bible looking for coincidences and similarities to ways of thinking. Of course, they found them. It's a fun parlor trick, I suppose, but I don't think it means anything more than you want it to mean. In my case, that's not much. I'd put more stock in the ending of the Mayan/Sumarian calanders since they both happen to end in the same year even though they were made thousands of miles and thousands of years apart. Add that Einstein theorized some shit would go down during the harmonic convergance (or planetary alignment...whatever), which also happens to bein 2012...I'm thinking we might just be fucked.

Most of the Matrices are in the 5 books of Moses, so it isn't really that much text. It obviously wasn't Moses that coded the books with prophecies in a very advanced manner, so it must have been God, meaning God dictacted the books, proving the existance of God.

The fact that the matrices ALSO have the world ending in 2012 must mean something. You say why would God code about America when humans didn't know it existed? Thats simple; because God knew it existed and knew what would happen.

I bet if I pick out a bunch of letters I can make a few pages say what I want too.

Its a big book with lots of words...anything is possible. I'd be willing to bet there are ones that say things like "hippos can fly" and "dont believe everything you hear"

Ok...but if god coded it, why did he let people make so many different versions of the bible? One could make the argument that in every transition away from the "true" bible (haha...just kidding...there isn't one), the those messages would become distorted or not appear at all. Maybe christianity fucked itself here. Maybe if they'd kept a standard bible and not 425,896 different versions, this would be easier to swallow. So which bible does this appear in? We've got 3 versions at the house in KC...I'll have to check for myself. Besides...when these "messages" were originally "dictated", they would have been done so in hebrew, most likely. I don't think that they'd translate (unless the claims made here are translated directly from hebrew...which I highly doubt since that isn't the case with the websites you sited). That would imply that only english speaking people would be available to read such prophecies which, likewise, would have to make us special. I think we can all agree that thinking all people who speak english are special is total crap. All in all...I still think it's just coincidence.

It has been edited so many times, by so many different people, not a lot in it is as it was originally.

as for the matrices, was there a reason for picking the #'s 3,5,7? or did that just make it say things that made sense? just looking at those little snippets i could make up all kinds of stuff.

As for the numbers, my guess would be because of their biblical representations. 3 being the trinity, 5 being man, and 7 being god (the devil being 6). I'm not exactly sure why those numbers apply to those things (well...except the trinity), but some people seem to think they do.

I don't know much about 5 or 7 being represented as numbers for man or god...never heard of that one (not being a dick, just uneducated). But three being the father, son, and holy ghost/spirit. I think that sometimes a lot of this stuff is taken way out of context. Non believers and beilevers alike.

well... as far as different versions and whatnot, i think that all the books that these "codes" are in is in the old testament, which i dont think some christians have altered to fit their needs. i personally dont believe it because anything can be found in code if you look for it. i find it funny how it only had events about america in the past hundered years or less even. nothing about the crusaides, or any of the wars of the 1500's-1800's etc. it was too perfect for an american tv show.

wasn't the original scripture written in latin or hebrew or some similar shit? So i'm assuming that even the most accurate copy we have in english, is indeed, inaccurate. Therefore i'd think that in order for some matrix reading of the word to work, it would have to be in the original context.

I believe the five books of Moses were written in Hebrew, although I could be mistaken. Either way, the matrices are found using that original text, written in Hebrew. The Hebrew letters in the text make up Hebrew words, which THEN are translated into English- it isn't translated into English then de-coded; that would obviously be flawed...

Wow...easily one of the most arrogant and non-sensical things I've ever read. You're completely ignoring the fact that many non-english speaking folks are fanatical catholics/christians...namely ALL of Latin America and pretty much all of Italy.

If god knew about the english language in advance and took that into account, he must also have known about this post in advance and how so many people would think this stuff was BS.

but shouldn't the bible be geared to all races? are the japanese excluded from gods good grace because they dont speak english as fluently?

yeah i think the bible is intended to be for everyone, however many japanese people are buddhist or whatever, and probably just choose not to believe it. Hence, they wouldn't read it.

True...only 0.7% of Japan's population considers themselves christian, but if the bible was intended for everyone, should it matter? The bible has been translated into just about every language on the face of the earth...yet only the people with english versions get to enjoy these "messages"? I don't think so.

I find it funny how people in India can study their religion and dedicate themselves completely to their religion and they are accepted and loved within thieir community, or Jew's, or Buddhist's.....but when a Christian devotes themselves to their religion they are considered stupid, and blind, and brainwashed. Sorry just a rant

Well...I think that's a bit of a oversimplification. Lots of people who devote themselves to christianity are looked highly up by members of their community. Shit...look at the pope (a.k.a. Captain Popetastic). Millions upon millions of people worldwide look to him for guidance and whatnot. If you want proof, look no farther than devout roman catholics in Africa. They're dying in record numbers from AIDS, yet they still won't wear condoms because the pope doesn't think it's ok. I think organized religion in it's entirety is a sham...a lot like Kierkergaard. I don't think that a god lives in a statue or a symbol or a building, rather that it lives in those who believe. I happen to find the tenants of catholicism (and some other sects of christianity) utterly ridiculous...but that's not to say it's ALL crap. There's a lot of life lessons that, if one has the rationality to see the subtext rather than being a blind sycophant, people could learn something from. Then again...I'm also more prone to believing in things that are tangiable and proveable.

See I understand what your saying GT..and I truely respect your decision/opinion. I just find it funny that someone makes a comment about religion here and there..and people jump down his throat without providing a reasonable explination to why they don't believe or why they are doing that. And I you have a point on the oversimplification of things. All my friends say shit all the time "oh stupid christian's" and i've read shit like that on here also...and In my opinion...tha'ts oversimplifying things also. It goes both ways I understand...I dunno...just in one of those moods i guess.

Well...while I'll agree that sometimes the religious stuff does get a bit out of hand, look at the claims being made. Believing and having faith is one thing, but to tell others you have proof of something (no, I'm not refering to this thread in particular) that cannot be proven is not just a fallacy, it's a flat out lie. It's like telling your kids they're special. Sure, YOU might think they're special, but chances are I hate them and so do a good number of other people. It's all subjectable to opinion. I do, however, think that the discussions of a controversial nature (religion, politics, eating babies, etc.) have in fact gotten more civil on the board than they previously were. I remember when it used to go something like "*opinion stated here*" and the response would be "no, you're a fucking idiot if you think that" and that swung both ways between people who were on both sides of the issue at hand. I don't think I've ever said "stupid christians" before (perhaps in a joking manner, maybe) but I hear what you're saying. The only religion I officially deem stupid would be mormons. I mean...the majority of their religion is based on a hoax (Kinderhook plates) perpetrated by a known con man (Joseph Smith). But I digress. All told, I think you've got a point but I also think we're getting better at it.

Anyway yes it has gotten better, and I usually won't participate in a thread about religion. And yes I have to agree, the mormon religon I just don't understand, i'm not getting into it.
