I don't think I'm ever dating anyone around holidays.. Sometimes on purpose sometimes it just happens that way.. Like I could probably be dating someone right now but I didn't want to start before v-day because I'd feel obliged to buy them something and I'm broke as a joke.. and I'd feel guilty about it..
