Merry Christmas dude...

I'm spending it upstate NY with my whole family...

Wife and my 2 kids, brother and his wife and 2 kids, sister and her husband, mother and father.

Should be nice we celibrate both days... christmas eve we exchange gifts, christmas morning we get stockings and the kids all get santa/christmas day gifts (I refuse to lie to my kids about the whole santa thing).

I like the holiday but truely see it as a grotesque commercialized spending frenzy with no real soul to it...

I think the government should seperate the holiday into some non-denominational thing... there's no jesus in modern christmas... santa won.

It's not even his real birthday anyway...

I just don't get how christians perpetuate such a sacreligous molestation of what the birth of christ should really represent and how it should be celebrated.

Again not against christmas the way it is... I love giving and getting presents... Just don't get how it got so changed (presents and saint nick are really a gov. sponsored mid winter economy booster established in the early part of the 20th century.)

If it's a christian holiday celebrating the birth of jesus santa shouldn't be envolved... and it certainly shouldn't be a commercial event.
