how would they know which car is being driven by a young driver? and also since the cop gave me a warning, did he record my plates and license on the computer?

They can tell in day time.. Thats probably not what they did to you persay.. Your plates are already in the system.. When they go back to their car they run you license number and make sure you dont have any warrents out for your arrest and stuff like that.. Your already in their computer..
