I work for a Home/Mobile entertainment company....and I don't think using a 2ohm sub on a 4ohm stable amp is a good idea...but that's just me. Using a 600x1 amp @ 2ohms with a 4ohm sub is fine just as long as the sub can handle up to 600 watts max (but you will have to increase volume a little more). Now if you use a 2ohm sub on a 4ohm amp, the sub will draw too much current and can harm the amp by overloading the transistors....
