You seem to have forgotten his original question, was he not looking for an MP3 player? Bring me to the conclusion he probably has a bunch of mp3's he wants to play, to which the sound quality doesn't matter.
Where you side tracked is in the MD being a superior product for music listening, when thats really hard to ubtain with MP3 already being an inferior file format. However, you have still yet to touch on the key points of North America's best selling MP3 PLayer, which right now is the ipod. 6 hour life, how about 12 hours? You might be able to convince some people here that you are right, and I will admit you pose a good point for someone not in the know. But when you dig deeper, one realizes that your facts are one sided as you are an owner of an MD player but yet do not touch on the simple fact... Ipod holds the largest market share of MP3 players, to which my main point of it being the best player comes from. You are basing your argument on the notion that sound quality and size are what determines the best player. But dude this is wrong, it can't be what does if the best player is neither of these things. The best player is the one that sells the most and the people have spoke, not you or I but the people. Those people are saying 'Ipod' not "MD" and they speak with their wallets. This point of market domination is one you don't seem to touch on and is why I told you to shut up about your MD player. I repeat myself because you are not able to touch on this issue and until you do you do not have an argument against me or the people I speak of. My opnion comes untainted, I've done my research and I know the sales facts. I also own a dell laptop and not an apple. When I tell you the Ipod is the best thing on the market right now its because its the most sold player for a reason. That's because it offers rechargable 12hour batteries, large media to store files on, easy to use features, menus, random play back and easy file transfers. So enough is enuogh, do your research on what numbers say not on what your personal experience is. You're small minded views on this situation and lack of knowledge beyond your MD player are what are causing your headaches. Yuo also claim you can't put files other them MP3's on a Ipod. Quote:
