Hasnt OPAKRACING asked this question before? . . . . no, that was H&R coilover-struts. ok buddy, anything you buy from Greddy, Apexi, thermal, tanabe, or HKS is good stuff . . . . read their website. IMO - if you want a good suspension, just use H&R springs and Koni Yellow's . . . . . i know ur not building anything that will require all the options of the Apex WS dampers |

so the Apex'i world sport system is too racey for you? is that why you didn't need them? I did read their site, and they say that this set up is the way that Apex'i thinks that cars should handlse stock...I don't know if that means they're weak or not, cause I know most cars suspsension from the factory is weak...I don't know if its a more mild system or what...also...it doesn't say you can adjust the dampening...am i missing somthing? Quote:
So did you mean to put Tein and JIC? or in your opinion are they not as good as those other companys? Because they all have a damper system in the same price range as those that you put, and I've heard that they're good...altho in Japan JIC is the poor mans choice, it does seem to a good choice over here... |

If I can afford it, I'll get it. I have some great offers on Tein SS. I'm also eyeballing the H&R cups......

Opakracing, You technically should be banned for breaking the rule about having more than one user name . . . . . . . just so you know. Use your other name and just eat it - prove to us you have learned something. I had to earn my stripes as well. . . just do a lil reading before you post. BTW, you have yet to explain what your goals are from a honda (which, you dont even own). From the questions you are asking, you obviously have no idea what you are talking about, so just buy a car that has power all ready. IMO - i should never have bought a honda. For the same price as all i have spent on my car i could have a 240sx with an SR20DET with all the BPU's for a turbo car including a turbo back exhaust. |

Do I post with that user name anymore? nope...i only got one user name. why can't i ask questions even if they're not about my goal for my honda? I would like to learn about every possible setup and they're pros and cons so i can be well rounded in my knowledge...so i don't know what i'm talking about cause i asked what the order of the Tein coilovers? if i can't ask that, then whats this site for? |

Everybody quit the username bitching. Take it to PM's
![]() --------------- As for your question. The Apexi WS is an entry coilover system that only allows for height adjustment, much like the Tein BASIC. If you are going to spend the money on true coilovers, step up a little bit and go with the Tein SS or better. They are well suited for the street and I know I'm glad that I can adjust the damping on mine. Makes a big difference in the feel of the system.

i will admit when OPAKRACING was on the boards he was annoying but HONDAGUY2005 hasn't been doing anything wrong and i dont have anyproblems with him, i feel if you have a bad personal feeling, it should be left to your self!

And thats exactely why i changed my name, cause i grew up :-D yea, i think i figured out that it goes, Tein Basic- Tein SS, Tein FLEX (could have got those last two switched around) then Tein RA...and then on to all the evolutions of the RA like RS (which you can adjust the rebound and compression aspects with 16 way dampening control)...the HT model has to do with Tarmac racing, there's a few more models...but i gotta go to school ![]() |

Yeah, you got them right... FLEX is better than the SS due to teflon coated threads and some other stuff I think. Its damping BTW. This is a unified compression/rebound adjustment. The RA does not have separate compression/rebound adjustments, but the RS model does FYI.
