I think I got confused on that one too. V8...that was that spooledMR2 guy, not Acura_86 talking about the Mustang. Now that I think about it...my guess is that he raced a 3.8L car, not a 4.6L. A kill against a 3.8L V6 car isn't hard to come by and hardly even worth mentioning.
