i just noticed something. the basics dont come with the top housing. am I suppose to use my stock ones?

When you jackup the car, does the spring itself gets loosen or uncompress from the vehicle so that its easy to adjust the height? Wouldnt it be difficult to adjust the height if the spring is compressed to the vehicle? Sorry guys Just making sure because I dont want to end up with the same problems again.
