The only car to come out of a Porsche factory with a V8 was the 928. Odds are he has a 1982 Porsche 928, the most expensive car Porsche manufactured in 1982, and the car that was intended to replace the 911, an intention that was held until 1995 when the 928 was dropped from the Porsche model line.
