that's called harmonic resonance, and yeah that is the factor in a cai. aem, injen, dc, k&n...really all the same. i personally think of those aem is the worst quality. i've had numerous ones of all those companies and injen and k&n are my fave. the mounting points and build quality are so much higher it seems. whether u got the intake from aem or bomz...they serve the same purpose. but the metal that the piping is made out of should be a little more heat resistant with the name brands and they do dyno test them, unlike bomz or ebay intakes.
