A smallblock weighs about 500#. And this would definately NOT be worth it. Like GT40 said, you would have to gut the entire driveline and chassis and start from scratch. You would have to rework the frame to fit the V8 width wise, and figure something out length wise. Aside from that you will have to completely fabricate a floor to fit a T5 as well as the driveshaft and rear axle. Unless you wanted to do this just to see if you can do it don't do it. If you have ALL the fabrication skills to do it go for it.. If not you are seriously looking probably in the $20K range to start for labor and parts. Prob twice that. Buy a new car if you are gonna do that.
