anyone know a kit i can change over my back drums to rotors for a 1991 crx HF. I heard u can rip off the whole brake system on the SI and it will fit right on. think it will work?

yes.. same gen civic si OR integra rear disks will swap on...
The teg stuff will probobly be a little more work mounting the ebrake cables and prop.valve... everything else should bolt up fine.

bah I used the old lines on mine... they don't look to good but they don't leak...
Eventually I'll upgrade to SS lines... Problem is though I ordered new lines for a SI same gen as mine and they don't fit.... Hatch to Coupe are different... the 93 LS lines fit better than the 93 si ones I had new... Kinda sucks but that's life... Other problem is that the one's with ABS have larger diameter lines... so I can't order them for a coupe w/disks cuz they all have abs... I think I have to order 90-00 teg lines.

heres the parts youll need, i have a howto, but its too big to attach:
Parts *You may not need everything but it's good to have! 90-93 Integra Rear Trailing Arms (with everything attached Rotor, Caliper, Ebrake Cables...) or 90-91 CRX Rear Trailing Arms (with same...) You can use either trailing arm but for CRX you need CRX ebrake cables and for Civic you need Integra ebrake cables (might as well get whole CRX trailing arm + cables for CRX, and whole Integra trailing arm + cables for Civic) 90-93 Integra "4040" Brake Proportioning Valve (Prop Valve), HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! New Rotors or resurface old ones (I used new Brembo Blanks) Reman. Calipers (if your old ones are in bad condition) Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines (recommended... I used Goodridges) New Brake Fluid (I used Castrol GTLMA DOT4) Brake Pads (I use OEM Honda/Nissin pads) |
