rx-7's are fical money pits... they can be made great but with NO WHERE near the reliability or economy of a civic... and it would cost more...

I agree that you should consider turboing the engine in there over a swap... ESPECIALLY a b16 swap.... that's all but pointless imo... you aren't going to make any real power with a b16 till you turbo and then not much more than you would've made with a d16...

Anyway good luck in making your decision...

I would suggest trying to find a wrecked 94 or so GSR... you should be able to get the whole car for under 4k and then you not only have more parts like seats and rear-disk you can swap in but you also have parts you could sell to others to re-coup some of your invested money...
