Weird Engine sounds
Hey, guys.. i have this sound comen from my belt area..i donno if its a pulley, i was told that if the belt is moving from side to side, then it would be a pulley..but its not doing that .. the sound is almost a crunching sound, but its not coming from the "enigine block area" its comen from teh belts, and the higher the RPM the louder it gets, also the only engine mod i have is Full exhuast and intake......THanks J

Yank it out and look at it. While its out, put a new DOHC one in. Problem solved.

about 4K out of warrenty......so if i can aviod them .....me and a buddy are gonna take of the "drive belt" and if i still have the sound then its my timing belt, but if hte sound goes away then its the pulleys, i saw on another board that the K20 seems to have a tentioner and idler pulley problem, but honda hasnt done a recall.....so hopefully its that..... |
