i remember racing a 4cyl on the highway a few summbers back, it pulled nicely for a 4cly but never had the top end for above 70mph. We just played with him, cause well he kept trying to do the fly by and well he just couldn't catch up to us when we never brought the RL below 80mph. The v6's are nicer cars imho... though i'm not a huge ford fan they do make some nice tq...
