well.. technically.... no. the distance between numbers is smaller because 160 has more marks.. so a speedo that reads to 70 or 80 will go real fast while accelerating, where as a speedo that goes to 160 it will take longer for the needle to move as far. look at the old fox body 5.0's. they read upto 85mph if i remeber... but that dosnt mean the car is limited to 85 mph, or that 85mph has anything to do with its speed.
