it's a short ram but no the filter is not under it, it's more of a heat scoop the anything, that's okay cause in a little bit itwill be functional. the plate's not in it because of the strut tower bar. It definitely let's out a ton of heat as do the hood vents. the intake has a custom made heat sheild around it so it only breathes fresh air.
