Agreed! PVC starts to break down under heat conditions and releases poisen gasses. I would think that the filter would do it's job, but why risk it?
You can buy some metal clothes-dryer tubing from any hardware store. It is flexible and bendable and you can use that to direct air into your airbox. Probably cheaper then that PVC as well... -Ducky
