I do believe the "EX, LX, DX" emblems are held on with sticky gump. So take some dental floss, or some kind of string, and work around the letters to get them to come off. Then use some cleaner and remove the gunk from your car.

Yeah.

The "H" emblems usally (or always?) have holes behind them though.

^pretty sure the "H" always have holes behind em
theres also some glue stuff on it...mainly on the middle line of the "H"
just pry it off a little w/ a wrapped screwdriver.

but after you take it off...you'll have the 2 holes...dont take em off unless youre gonna bondo em and paint it

That "gump" is hard as hell to get off. In fact, you can still see the little outline of the "DX" tag...
Dental floss works wonders..

I used one of my credit cards to get my emblem off along with the sticky stuff. Gently. Then I waxed over it.

use simple green foaming cleaner and LOTS of elbow grease.. all the glue should come right off.

Also keep turning the rag... rags with glue on them won't pick up more glue.

Mine is a 92-95 which are just stickers not plastic emblems... so I just scratched them off with my finger nails....

good luck

I heard that Simple Green stuff is amazing. Especially on rims. My friend has 20's on his truck and he said he just sprays in on and then it all just runs off. I was bitching about keeping my little ass 17's clean.

Simple Green will clean anything. And for the emblems, covered screwdriver is definitely the way to go.

Best part about Simple Green is that it cleans well and doesn't stink. It actually smells pretty good.

I dun want 2 removed the emblems, otherwise the painting come off from the emblems. But I want to removed emblems of Accord and EX. So I can put inside of my car on the front of top side near to sunroof. I agree about Simple Green, it's good to removed it. If I put a emblems of *Accord Type-R* or GT-R or SI or SiR or no needed a emblems on the back?

How much for Simple Green?

Also, I want to removed the *H* on front bumper and I goona put red H or Yellow H or maybe Black R for my car.

Do u understand what I say?

i always just used a heat gun to get it off and then use that "goof off" spray to get the remaining adhesive off... and yes, the honda h has holes behind it. does anyone kno how much it would be to take it to a body shop and have the holes filled?

get a hairdryer
heat the emblems up
get some dental floss
run the dental floss behind the emblems
take the emblems off
get some goo gone or other cleaning solution to get the rest of the gunk off
wash and wax the car to make it look even

i'm not taking off the "H" emblem, but thanks for the info.

so getting off the "dx, ex, lx" emblems aren't that hard, eh?

do you guys think it looks "plain" with them taken off?

like a little "un-even"?

i took all the emblems off my lancer, what i did was: heat the emblems with a hair dryer for like a minute each. then use dental floss to wedge between the emblem and trunk and just peal the emblems off. after all the emblems were gone, i heated the rest of the glue that was left on the trunk with the hair dryer until it was melted, then rubbed the glue with goo-gone and peeled it off. after all the glue was off, i rinsed and dried the trunk of all the mess, then waxed it with meguiars wax (wonderful stuff). and that got the job done, looks hella clean too
