Stupid US Customs!

Man, I ordered this amethyst bracelet from boutiquejewelry.com. They are in Canada, and when I received the package, it said the package was damged and resealed, along with a big US Customs sticker on it. The case is in there, but no bracelet! Your government at work!

I talked to boutique jewelry, they are very nice, not a huge company, I actually talked to two very nice humans. They are going to send another one, because for eight months they havent had a problem.

I wonder if this is because of ignorant americans trying to spite the french for not supporting out stupid war....

it's just the postal workers.

they do it all the time. they read what's inside then if it's valuable, then they take it.

so whenever i send back stuff from japan(car parts, games, ect.), i always write down "used clothes, socks, old comics" ect...

don't ever write down games, new shoes/clothes, jewelry, or any new stuff that's valuable.

but in your case, i guess you can't do anything about it to stop it because you're not the one sending the mail.

Welcome to the wonderful world of international shipping... though if they used UPS this probably wouldn't have happened. If they did use UPS wow... only ever had two packages damages/stolen from.

no its not for me, its for my girlfriend. Our one year anniversary is coming up, and I've been playing dumb like I dont know she wants something shiny to show off to her friends. he he.

Its a sterling silver bracelt with amethyst stones (purple, her fav color). It's 100 bucks, I got it for 72, from boutiquejewelry.com. Its a nice organization, I get the feeling its more of a mom and pop store, cause I called them to tell them what happend, and a human actually picked up. They were very nice and said they'll call Canada Post and see whats up, and then try to send it again.

Whats strange is that on their site, I selected UPS 3 day select, and it didnt come that way. strange, maybe their site hasnt updated. But on monday they'll call me, and I'll tell them I'd like UPS or Fedex.

I'll keep you posted.
