well, your asking for a dream car. fast stock car with low insurance... try again. for handling and performance potential you NEED rwd. fwd will only get you so far, and it will be more expensive. if you really want potential get a ae86 (corolla GT-S). they have droped a very large amount of engines in them, and they handle SO DAMN WELL. honestly that IS your best option. the 240sx can be made into a BEAST with a sr20det or turbocharging the stock engine(twin cam KA only, so 91+) the older rx7 turbo2's are another very nice car that shouldnt kill you on insurance. those 3 cars can be found cheap, the 240 and corolla both under 2000 and the turbo2 under 5. with a total bill of 10k you will have a very well handling car with good power. the rx7 motor would be a good idea to have the apex seals replaced and turbos checked as your first investment, then you can count on reliablity, even though the FC's(2nd gen 8?-92) are more reliable than the FD's (93-96). the awd talon/eclipes cars are nice, its just the 4g63 is a problematic car unless the engine is built and the drivetrain is strengthened. im not saying that cause ive herd, im saying it cause ive seen.

oh and i could beat stock gsx/awd tsi's stock vs. stock
