Go read some side-by-side reviews of PS2, GC, and XB for Timesplitters2 and come back and claim the textures look worse on GC than on PS2. Of course it's somewhat subjective, but I can't complain at all about graphics on the Cube and find them more impressive than the PS2 games.

As far as Nintendo messing up textures, perhaps but there's a lot more to the world of Cube games than Nintendo-developed games. Nintendo games have always focused on cheesy-ass stories with cutsie child-friendly characters and quality gameplay that keeps people coming back. Other developers focus more on blood, guts, gore, porn/adult themes, sometimes better stories and eye popping graphics.....some of them even think gameplay is important. Nintendo does cater more to the young audience but don't think there's only kiddie games for the Cube. On the other hand Pikmin is quite addictive......

I think there's lots of crappy titles for the PS2. Sure there are lots of titles, but I don't find many of them worth playing. I also hate the XB but I do give it credit for having some quality games such as Halo. I'm not into sports games but the latest Madden FB game for XB looks mighty nice in widescreen HDTV and is even fun to play.

PRICE WARNING: Activision is spreading rumors that a PS2 price drop may be in order by May. If that happens expect the XB and GC to follow suit. They are hoping for a $50 cut and projecting that. It's still speculation, but ya never know.

I added some edits above for more technical details.
