Stripping your car...

Ok..i'm an idiot. I mean, look at me.i'm a friggin moron. ANyways, i've heard people talk about 'stripping' their car's interior. Now what exactly does this mean or whatever? I know it takes away wait..but what exactly do they remove etc??

Remove A/C, PS, floor mats, carpet, center console, back seat, spare tire, trunk lining, stereo, passenger seat... well you get the idea.

yea most people will take out back seats...excess metal in trunk and around seats...replace stock seats with lighter "racing" ones...etc....94 has the rest of the list

Yup, weight reduction is important to go fast, but it screws up a daily driver if you take it too far. A CF hood is a good idea for weight reduction.

stripping your car means giving it some slim fast with gas it will burn the pounds like crazy even when it's turned off

a grand would be more then enough.. your going to have to help out to.. no ones getting a dead cheap custom hood and not putting in any effort. If your serious about this we'll have to start getting ready sooner then later because there is alot to take into consideration. I'll have to start building a mold and making a test run to make sure she dont break.

back to the stripping thing...
Make sure you drain all your fluids oil, transmission, power sterring you get the idea it will shed 10-15lbs
