				Blown Sub
			 Well this is my second blown sub in two years....and i have NO idea y...its a alpine type s.....12 inch..cant remember if its the dual voice coil..or what...but i blew it....i dont go pounding it at max..i have it on 1 outa 8 (settings) and the gain on the amp is lowww...thing just pounds still...would the box have anything to do with it? its kinda a homemade one...has worked ok i guess so far..but now im wondernig if that might be the problem...any help would be great...BTW im running the digital 301 alpine amp to it.. |

				 | how do you know it is blown,  the type s series subs had horrible structure, thats why i would have either gone with the r or e (money savor)

				 | type s's blow all the time, I work at circuit city so I see these come back..or at least used to since we stopped selling alpine and switched to kicker, eclipse, and clarion |

				 | well...apprantly according to these guys.....the Type S are good..but yet i also hear people bringing them back cause there blown...  how do i know its blown? i push down on it and theres so much resistence its unreal....i like the type S for one major reason....the blue theme im going with ...i dont want Type R cause of the red  yes im picky  sometimes lol...ill go with one more Type S  then if that blows this year..ill go with something different..im still waiting for them to call me with my replacement           |

				 | well thats good..cause i live in winnipeg...where right now its like only plus 3 out...the guy at Advance told me they test the Type S's at minus 30 or something... |

				 | well also alot of heat is built up on the magnet, and can cuase the glue to disrupt which in turn is a blown speaker
