Might be changing my mind
I have thought about what a lot of the people in this forum have been saying. I was the guy who was going to put the decal on my car.
Anyway, I took a pic of the car. Got a pic of the spoiler I want and did some so-so photo shopping to it. I managed to get the thing to some-what go with my car. So gimmi yall opinion. ![]() I am thinking I am going to wait on the decal for a bit. I want to get a few other 'visual' modifications first (ie clear tails, maybe body kit, underbody lights, ect). I still dont plan to really do any performance mods other than maybe one day getting the header. Below is a crappy virtual image of my car with the decal. Obviously wouldnt look quite like this but ya know. ![]() ![]() |

HAHAAH!!!
I used to love those things. I have a Red Civic Si matchbox car. Its hard to photo shop a decal (from my limited experience). Do you like the spoiler? |

I am NOT getting the decal, right now. Well the image wasnt necessarily for the double decker spoiler. I havent decided which one I want yet. The idea of the image is to give you an idea of what it would look like in general on the car.

I do plan on the body kit. But I do like the wing so that is a definite yes. Dunno about lower it. Wouldnt lowering it & the body kit make for some harder driving onto elevated areas?

If you can tell me what the point of getting the wing would be then maybe i could give you my opinion.

Damn man. That looks hideous.
![]() Here's my suggestion. If you like show, save up and get a nice body kit. A Civic with a huge ass wing and no kit looks ridiculous. ![]()

I don't know... I personally don't like the wing but what does my opinion matter. It don't cause its going on your car and if you like it then great. Good luck in whatever you choose.

Ok...I'm gonna give ya my opinion...DO WHAT YOU WANT. This truely is NOT the place to get advice cuz most of us here are all about clean lookin cars and are more into engine type mods than style mods. If you like it get it. But I do agree with one step. If you get the aluminum wing (which no i'm not a fan of) get a nice lookin body kit first. If you get the wing before the kit it's sorta like gettin a kit before you get wheels (and yes i've seen this and yes it does look horrible).

Yes, lowering the car and putting on a ground effect kit does make it harder to drive in some places, but I will be the first to tell you that people are gonna laugh at you if you don't lower the car and you do all that other work to it. In my opinion, and it's just my opinion, rims and lowering the car should be the first thing that you do to it. Let us know what happens bro. |

Well I do have a set of 2.3" Progressive Lowering Springs that I got from a friend (slightly used). [This topic is in another thread ->

Slam the car. Thats what needs to be done. Shave the moldings and throw on a nice kit. The wind really serves no purpose if the car is 10 feet off the ground.

Lowering the car is a good idea, but how far you lower it is what people need to think about. There is a lot out there that will take out your freshly new painted front bumper, and just because "slamming" the car might look better, it doesn't mean that it is better in a long run. |

im thinking in a month, get a 1.3 - 1.5" drop. That would look pretty good. Then get the mula for the kit, ( i am liking the black widow 1st generation and the street fighter rear).

isnt the purpose of a spoiler to put downforce onto the rear wheels... ? then.. why have it if a civic is fwd?
i suppose if you put the spoiler on the hood, it'd serve soem practical purpse! ![]() |

Please lets not get another spoiler debate going on...... I thinks there's been about ten of these already. FWD can make use of them too, but I'm not about to debate this topic again.
