Ok....hitting hard DOES NOT MEAN it sounds good!!!!! Keep that in mind. Lots of folks, mistakenly, think that the more bass a system can take or the harder it pumps the better it sounds. This is, purely, not true at all. Of course sound is what you make of it, but to achieve pure sound quality you need lots more than pumping bass or XXX rms watts going through the system.

First and foremost go with something that sounds good to you. Just keep in mind that audio was in no way mastered to be heard on the car stereo, but rather either through stereo studio monitors or a set of roughly 5.1 monopolar studio monitors properly configured, something your car stereo system will probably never match. But you can still choose components that sound good and will give you a good sound, regardless of how much "thump" or "bumpaliciousness" is there.
