98 prelude stock cd player

how the hell do you remove this thing AND does it have sub preouts at all??

Rob 07-18-2004 10:15 PM

You have to remove the trim plate...probably two screws by the ash trace and I think one behind the clock. Then you should be able to see some fastener screw behind there....but then again I could just be talking out of my ass :paranoid:

negatory..no screws and clock is in a different area :P

A stock CD player won't have any preouts but if you want to retain the stock CD player and add an amp you get a high level converter that takes the signal from your speakers using speaker wire and converts it to a set of RCAs so you can hook up an amp that way. Not the cleanest way to do it but if you're just lookin for bass you won't really be able to tell.

Shit...here's what it said....

1) Using a panel tool carefully pry upward on the radio dash bezel and remove.
2) Remove (2) screws holding the stereo sub dash piece in place and remove.
3) Remove (4) screws holding the stereo to the stereo sub dash.
4) Unplug all wiring.
5) See our Shipping page and Free Repair Estimates
