Which would you get?

Ok, this summer i am gonna be roofing for 10-12$ an hour...cash. I am gonna start putting things on my car and im at a fork. one way wants to go supercharger/turbo and the other goes for giggle juice....I need some help here guys....

i'd go with the turbo/super charging. It's a permanent increase to performance unlike the short bursts from nitrous. That and you have to refill your nitrous bottle. No refilling a turbo charger.

And as for the choices.... I would spend the money on a REALLY nice vacation. Think of how much you could see with $3k-$5k. Then again, I really want to get away from it all, so that's just my biased opinion.

Plus, I do not see the relation in your two choices. A nitrous system (even wet) will set you back only $1k. A decent turbo system (and I still don't know why kind of car you drive) will set you back no less then $2500, probably closer to $4k. So... get NOS if you're just going to get rid of the car down the line, get a turbo if you want something to tune, or get a supercharger if you want an every-day driving fun-box.

Out of those.. The turbo..

What I would do... Buy a car with a V8 or a motorcycle, and keep the civic as a daily driver!:D

^ooo

I picked boost, but a bike would be sweeeeeet

wheres oc? he needs to pick n20

Shot 2 Hel 06-11-2003 12:58 AM

i dunno which way OC would go, cause once he told me to turbo something and didnt even mention the N20 but i say go with the TURBO

94_AcCoRd_EX 06-11-2003 01:00 AM

I'd go with the turbo, but those two things aren't really in the same class. Turbo is much more $$$, but is always there for ya when you need it.

Turbo and N20 if you can afford it. Of course you only use the nitrous when you are really racing for cash (ie: drag racing on a LEGAL track at a sanctioned automotive event near you [taps the nose a few times and winks]) cause then atleast when, or should I say if (depending on the competition) you win atleast you'll have the money to buy more! :)

Turbo gets my vote. They are constant, legal, and I think it would be fun to be able to tune it. But they will cost you more than nitrous.

VR4_Craver 06-11-2003 05:08 PM

Ok it seems turbo or the super charger won.... But i heard that you have to run premium with those but i dont know if that is true or not. Becasue my mom had a twin turbo charged Lebaron and she never ran on premium but that thing would HAUL! And then my friends Grandma has the GTP with a super charger and that take premium. So do i have to run premium or no? And would those hurt my gas mileage or not???

nonovurbizniz 06-11-2003 05:18 PM

depends how you tune it... you CAN run low octane but you have to de-tune the crap out of it (timing retard). And actually you may not even be-able to retard it enough...

I use premium regardless. the price dif. isn't that bad.

oh and... turbo.

ShEaNy 06-11-2003 06:23 PM

TurBO

pbateson 06-11-2003 07:13 PM
