Finding new friends will be hard... people up here are dickheads.. I hang out with the only half decent people around, the rest of these people are daddys boys/girls whose rich ass parents buy them cars. I have seen an 17 yearo ld driving an S2000, a 16 driving an M3, a 18 yr old driving a PT Cruiser (i know they suck but they are expensive) an 18 year old driving an NSX!!!! damn him... and there are 2 18 year olds that drive WRX's WTF is wrong with these peoples parents! I worked my ASS off for my car and i bet these slack jawed bastards dont even work! GAAAAAAAH *punches something*
Just makes me sick to think that i gotta either replace good friends with these losers or.. hell i dunno bleh

This is the time in life that gets really hard. When you start to get older paths start to stray in different directions. The only thing you can really do is find something that keeps you occupied. Take up sports and such. You may find some new friends there. Its hard and it sucks, but it something you dont have much control over at this point.

It's part of growing up. Pretty much sucks. And honestly, it really doesn't get any better. Although I'm still really close with 2 people that I went to high school with and i see them often, the 50 some other people that i hung out in high school...well, those days are over.

Yea, maybe if I can get into the local car club (theres a couple but some of them are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy out of my league) I can meet some new friends there... but even then it wont be the same.. oh well... dont worry about the sh*t you can't change I guess..

It may seem like everyone in the area is a dick but I bet if you scratch the surface there are some cool people out there that you share interests with. look into the clubs/societies of whatever your into, at least you already share a common interest with these people.
HTH, god luck and keep your head up.

i moved over 500 miles from home just 4 hours after my graduation ceremony, and i haven't seen any of my highschool friends since june '98. trust me, your friends have it a little worse than you do. adjusting to a new place where you don't know ANYBODY sucks.
i don't know if you have the luxury of living in/near a city, but i went out and saw bands and stuff on a regular basis and would just talk to anybody who seemed approachable. it's what you have to do, even if you're extremely shy like i am. you'll find new people to chill with - just give it some time.
as for the rich kids... i live in a ridiculously wealthy town and i have a LOT of nice toys (like the nissan 300zx i had when i turned 16, or my home theater setup, or any of my guitars), but you can rest assured that they weren't donated by mommy and daddy. i've worked my ass off to get everything i have. while the description you gave is very true in most cases, don't assume it always is. you can't hate someone for being more successful or more wealthy, but you CAN get to know them. who knows... it may just get you ahead in life. (or at least they might let you drive their sweet rides! ;) )
