Hey guys. I'm a new user. I have a 1997 Honda Accord Ex. I want to lower my car about two inches, but I don't know what I need. I dont know whether to use lowering springs or coilovers or different shocks. I want my car lowered, but I still want a smooth ride as close to factory as possible. Money's not really an issue.

Thanks

Welcome to HS!

If you want a smooth ride, and you know you want about 2", I'd recommend getting the Eibach sportlines for springs, and you will need struts and possible a camber kit to go with them. For struts, if you have the cash, get Koni yellows. You can get a camber kit after you lower it and align it.

About how much would it run for everything?

Well, that depends on what struts you get. What are you looking to spend approx?

It doesn't matter money's not a problem. Will those springs and shocks have a smooth ride.

You'll have a pretty good ride. You sacrifice ride for performance, so you'll have a mixture of both:

sportlines - ~200ish
koni yellows - ~550
camber kit - ~125???

What kinda driving will you be doing? Any racing?

If you can get a set of Real coilovers I would get them, if not just go with a set of lowering springs and a set of Koni yellows.

You'll like the KONI Yellows & Eibach Sportlines, but don't expect it to ride like factory. The KONI's & Eibachs are top of the line stuff as far as springs & struts go, but they will ride different than stock.
