so i have been driving a 5 speed for about two months now. which means i am just starting to get the jist of driving a stick. i drive a 95 integra ls. does anyone have any info on techniques or tricks to driving? i'm not even sure the limit on how high you should rev or when to shift when racing. driving, i'm fine at the clutch but very uninformed on how to race a 5 speed. any pros feel free to shed some insight

2 months is nothing. Keep practicing. Try taking some corners ( not too fast) and shift coming out. Make sure you can math your revs.

Timing is everything. Its not bad to mess up when the RPMs are low. But mess up when they're high an it'll cost you.

read you car manual, it should have the max speeds you should do in a gear before the rev limiter kicks in. That and learn to know when to shift from the sound of your engine. It's a very personal thing, a man and his 5 speed.
