Turbo 94 Honda Civic ?! PLEAS HELP

Hey guys,
I have a problem. i recently just put a turbo on my 94 4 door civic with a d15b7 motor. The kit includes a td05h turbocharger, front mount intercooler, greddy bov, vortec 10:1 fmu, check valves and assorted pipes and hardwear.

When i drive my car it is shooting oil out of the bov when i change gears, and blowing really thick grey smoke out the exhaust, also the oil quickly depletes after i drive.

what is going on and how will i go about to fix this problem?

There are 2 things that may cause this:
1) Your turbo shaft seal has failed causing oil to leak by on both side of the turbo assembly (compressor and turbine), thus sending oil to both the exhaust and intake.

2) Fried piston rings and/or blow-by will allow oil to get into the breather tube/PCV causing oil to get sucked into the compressor and back into the charged pipe.

Your intercooler is mostlikely full of oil as well. Lowering the boost will not solve the problem, although it may minimize it. Start with the basic. Inspect if your oil return line is pinched. If it is, then fix that right away. This will minimize oil from passing through the turbo shaft seal which may be the probable cause of the problem. FMU's will still do it's thing regardless of what the boost setting it. If you ever get this problem fixed, get a "real" management system like Hondata or AEM EMS. Even the GReddy E-manage is starting to come around. Fuk FMU man...... it's not healthy for your boosted ride.

Goodluck

That depends. Have you done a leak down and compression test on the motor?

The stock pump is probably more than enough for that kind of boost.
(I wouldnt use the fmu) Have you looked into running the afc hack?
It uses a piggyback afc and larger injectors - lots of people have success w/ it.
You could get a used afc as low as $130...or spend over $300 for a new one (depending on where you shop).
(The ones made by Apex'i come in either a standard unit(safc) or one that controls the vtec point(vafc)...both have different features)

255 LPH and 10:1 FMU is actually a bit too much on low boost. Since you are in Australia, I'll hook you up with other management similar, if not, better than Hondata. Email my friend predator at neokeo@hotmail.com and tell him I gave you his email addy... he knows me by "thermal" . He works on all kinds of turboed Hondas over there in Australia. He should be an authorized dealer of Autronics stand alone systems which is simialr to AEM EMS. He also tunes it... Goodluck.

swap to a different engine, theres not enough aftermarket support for the 1.5. your cheapest swap would be a d16z6, then look for a b16 or b18a/b

Nothing less than a Hondata is what I recommend. The AFC "hack" is okay but the tunability is not even close to what Hondata can do.

As far as the interchangability of the turbos, both turbos utilizes different turbine flange.... so that means it will not just slap on.... I wish it is that simple. Piping wise will be minimum to nothing cuz the physical size of both turbos are not too different....

or, get a B16. . . . . .

Az - how much nawz u gonna spray on ur D16? If ur not going over a 75 shot (ever) then why get the direct port kit when the NX shark nozzle deal is just as good for a low shot application?

- just asking because i am getting the NX wet kit (w/shark nozzle) as soon as i get some money together and get a Walbro 255lph fuel pump. . . . i guess you could say i wanna hear your take on this?
