ls/vtec conversion

im new to hondas (sr20de kid) i was wondering if it is possable to put a sohc vtec head on a dohc d16 out of an first gen integra. thanks for the help, dont grill me to much on the nissan thing.

yes it is a possible swap....no crazier than the LS/VTEC. But I am not sure that the gain is worth the trouble....I am not too familiar with the swap...I just know it can be done

DOHC D16? D16's are SOHC engines. you CANNOT mate a SOHC head/block with a DOHC head/block.

now on the other hand, if you mean can you use a SOHC teg block with a SOHC vtec head, then yes you can do so. as long as they are both D series engines you can.

damn my bad.....I did not read the thread close enough....I thought you were talkin bout a SOHC VTEC head on a SOHC nonVTEC block.....hybrid3doorcx is right.....DOHC on SOHC cant be done.
