<- n00b Help Me!

Alright me and a friend of mine are looking for engines. My friend has a del Sol and wants a B18C or B18C-R, which would you recommend? I also have a del Sol and I'm looking for a spoon engine (if I can), which would you prefer? Also is it possible to fit a F20C1 into my del Sol? We are located in central California and can basically go anywhere. Any sites or places to recommend to us also?

I dunno about the f20c1 but I would go with the b18c and save the money to supe up the engine instead of the b18c-r(b18c5)... same basic engine, just b18c-r(b18c5) has handported intake manifold and some other basic engine work to add the extra horsies stock. Hope this helps.

s2k engine will not fit, its rwd, your fwd, the trannys wont bolt up. you may want to think about a h22 also. but any swap would be nice in there.

F20C is a negative.
B18C-R is spiffy, B18C5 is spiffy.
but worth the money? not imo unless you have plenty to throw around.
B18C1 is the route id take......well maybe H22A first, THEN B18C1.

oh and spoon engines.....they are race prepped motors, they wont last long on the street. and they are about $8k. not worth it whatsoever.

F20 is also mounted in a more traditional fashion, vertically. Most other honda engines are mounted horizontally.

I tend to agree with the B18C5 not being worth the money, but you get a lot more than just a little bit of porting. So if you're planning on going a little further with your engine as an all motor project, the B18C5 can be a worthwhile investment.

Spoon engines are not streetable. They're auto-x only engines- very good ones. You've been watching too much F&F.
