tranny fluid question

Now this is a dumb question, but I am going to ask. What do you run in the crx manual tranny as far as fluid. The chilton manual says to run 10w30 or 10w40 motor oil. I have heard not to run motor oil becouse its does not have the same additives as oil did when the tranny was made. I have been told to run honda MTL. My car makes a lot of power so I want to put the best fluid in the tranny. I asked the dealer and he said he had never heard of running MTL in the older trannys. I have been running mobil 1 synth 10w30 in the tranny and havent had any problems to speek of accept a quiet whine in third gear,it shifts good also. So should I try the MTL?

If you want the best manual tranny fluid, go with Red Line MTL or Red Line MT-90. I use MTL in the winter and MT-90 in the summer. If you want to read about them:
