Turbo opinions..

Hey whats up guys.... I was wondering if anyone has any idea or comments on a 60-1 stuffed in a t3 ex housing, 4/8 a/r drycenter custom..... The price is 900 dollars.. Is it worth it or should i just go with a t3/t4 ballbearing?

If i'm correct I think you are refering to the t3/t60-1. This is a t3/t4 class turbo. The t60-1 side is the compressor side. You wouldn't want to go anything larger than a t3 exhaust housing. It is a nice turbo and with the rgt setup make some SICK power. I'm using a t3/t4e with .60 A/R's.

I was told that with this turb, new JG head, 96-2000 intake manifold, 118 octane and a standalone can give me up to 450 hp...

450 HP with a D engine?! holy shiet! anyway cLowny, is that your engine on your sig? nice man! since i have never seen a 60-1 on a SOHC, i wouldnt really know. i think that a T3/T4 hybrid ball bearing on a built D engine like yours will be sufficient for the time being, until you get a feeling on how it's taking it. dude, i'm excited for you! let me know how that "1.8" SOHC feels like!

Actually that pic on my sig is my old JG BLOCK... It has the srp pistons in there... My new block has a 79mm JE pistons... Unfortunately i haven't had a chance to take any pictures yet... I can't wait to get my car back.. But due to uncontrollable circumstances I'm not getting my car back until earliest dec. 24th or end of february... Life is a *****...

a 60-1 compressor section is an excellent choice if you want to make some serious power without a ton of lag. I would check on te turbine wheel and see if its its a stage 3 or 5. A stage 3 will actually spool slower than a stage 5 with such a mismatched hybrid.
