!?! Mileage !?!

I drive a 1994 Honda Accord 4 door EX automatic and get anywhere from 20-25 miles per gallon depending how i drive and where I drive... Is this common ?? Not to mention i have a 15-20 lb sub in the back and about a zillion coats of show quality paint.

WHat mileage can you expect from a H22 engine in a honda accord ??

How do you improve mileage ?? Any of those fuel additives/cleaners work ??

I get about 340 miles on 13.5 gallons of gas. That's about 25mpg. That's with my box and two 12's.

42 hwy? Are you sure about that? That's super high, and Honda only says low 30s.

I get low to mid 30s hwy, and 25 ish city.

I wouldn't use those additives. Every 3-4k miles, I put an injector cleaner through the system, and that's it. The ignition upgrade will increase your gas mileage also.

I do 22mpg for city driving..

Its because of the ECU upgrade... Oh well, at least it runs fast when I need it to.

An ignition is both a performance and mileage upgrade. I wouldn't do it until I had a significant amount of mods, but combined with good fuel delivery, it will help your car out a little.

Technically, air-flow mods increase efficiency, therefore increasing your gas mileage. This is fine if you're using cruise control on the freeway.

In actuallity, if you have I/H/E, you'll need to give your car a little more gas to get off the line, decreasing city gas mileage. Also, it sounds cool and you'll be tempted to hit the gas to hear your car roar. That doesn't help mileage any either

I got a 94 accord and I only get like 280 miles/tank, and I don't get on it all to often. Even if i don't that's still about what I get. The only time i've ever had 300+ is on the HW.

??? what's up w/ that ???

That really sucks... you might want to get a full tuneup/valve adjustment, etc. and see if that helps. A properly maintained car is key to good gas mileage.
