cam swap???

I'm running my motor stock right now, but i was wondering if exchanging my hx cam for an ex cam, if that would get me more power out of my hx motor.

Uhh, possible never thought of it. Get a Helms manual and check out the specs on the different cams for you Generation civic, I have the manual for the Gen just before yours so I cant tell you.

I can tell you this though, for all the work or cash it takes to switch the cams you might as well put in an aftermarket one, oh and springs arent necessary as long as you dont get too crazy of a cam and you keep the stock rev limiter.

if you are gonna swap cams i agree go aftermarket, and while you are at it you SHOULD upgrade the springs and retainers, that would allow you to rev a decent amount moreand it would also allow you to get a pretty sick cam... i would call web adn ask them what kind of cut they suggest and what else they suggest for what you are looking for.. my friend had an all motor single cam that had web internals and it ran good..
